I have never shot the rifle. I bought the rifle because left handed rifles are veryt scarce in RSA. The original owner tragically only had the rifle for one hunting season before he passed away. I had the rifle serviced and the barrel inspected by Bullet Central. According to them the barrel is still like a brand new one, whith taces of original blueing still in the barrel.
